Life can throw a mean punch, leaving us feeling silenced and powerless.

But even in the toughest times, we have the power to reclaim our stories and build a better future. As a personal injury and civil sexual assault attorney, I help people navigate the legal system and find their voice after experiencing trauma.

I’m committed to helping my clients move beyond the pain of the past and create a future filled with hope and possibility.

My path to law was paved with a strong sense of justice and a desire to make a difference.

Though my childhood dream of becoming President was revised after witnessing the dangers of the role, the desire to advocate for others remained.

I pursued law, driven by a dedication to fairness and a love for the courtroom honed through years of speech and debate.

Initially, I sought financial stability and courtroom experience, which led me to defense work. But as the great-granddaughter of a coal miner who lost his life in the West Virginia mines, I yearned to be a voice for the injured and wronged. I knew that injuries do not just harm an individual — they affect families and often entire communities. I wanted to fight for those who needed someone to champion their cause, not stand against them.

This realization led me back to Tulsa, where I spent years perfecting my trial skills through personal injury work.

Years later, I began to learn more about representing survivors of civil sexual assault. I saw the profound impact of these violations and the need for dedicated legal representation. To better serve these clients, I immersed myself in understanding trauma by attending the National Crime Victim Bar Association’s annual conference and seeking out resources to strengthen my knowledge.

My approach to lawyering is deeply personal. I believe in building trust with my clients, offering a safe space to share their stories, and guiding them through the legal process with empathy and understanding. I start by believing my clients and offering honest advice and clear explanations, empowering them to make informed decisions about their cases.

It’s important for lawyers to be accessible and responsive, which is why I give all my clients my cell phone number. People need to know they’re heard, especially when going through something as difficult as recovering from trauma. I understand that the legal process can be daunting, especially for those who have already endured so much, and I strive to make it as clear and liberating as possible.

It’s easy to make a bad situation worse. That’s why it’s so important to have lawyers who are not only skilled in the law, but also trained in trauma-informed practices. We need to be advocates, but also helpers, guiding our clients through the legal system while respecting their emotional well-being.

I’m driven by the impact of my work, whether it’s empowering clients to heal or contributing to lasting change.

Every case is a chance to make a difference, to stand beside someone who has been wronged, and to help them use their voice to fight for their right to a better future. And that, I believe, is what makes my work truly meaningful.
