My approach to lawyering is deeply personal. I believe in building trust with my clients, offering a safe space to share their stories, and guiding them through the legal process with empathy and understanding. I start by believing my clients and offering honest advice and clear explanations, empowering them to make informed decisions about their cases.
It’s important for lawyers to be accessible and responsive, which is why I give all my clients my cell phone number. People need to know they’re heard, especially when going through something as difficult as recovering from trauma. I understand that the legal process can be daunting, especially for those who have already endured so much, and I strive to make it as clear and liberating as possible.
It’s easy to make a bad situation worse. That’s why it’s so important to have lawyers who are not only skilled in the law, but also trained in trauma-informed practices. We need to be advocates, but also helpers, guiding our clients through the legal system while respecting their emotional well-being.
I’m driven by the impact of my work, whether it’s empowering clients to heal or contributing to lasting change.
Every case is a chance to make a difference, to stand beside someone who has been wronged, and to help them use their voice to fight for their right to a better future. And that, I believe, is what makes my work truly meaningful.
